Greetings, and welcome to my site! My name is Mark Rudolph, and I am the one behind all of the projects on this website.
If you are curious about me, I am a graduate student at the University at Buffalo studying theoretical chemistry. As you may have guessed from the website, I also like to build/fix things and take them apart to figure out how they work. Occasionally I manage to put them back together the way I found them ![]()
If you are curious about this site, I mainly work on these projects for fun, in my spare time. Often I try something just to see if I can do it, and how easy it is to do. I started it to collect all of my little projects and hopefully inspire people to do their own (safely, of course).
For a three-stage project, you will
- Design
- Prototype
- Build
where steps 1 and 2 go back and forth a few times. It is most likely that you will not see many projects here pass step 2 (and often speed through step 1
). This is partly because being a graduate student occupies a lot of one’s time, and also because I just like to see if things can be done. Another aspect I try and maintain in my projects here is the use of more common/inexpensive things that can be recycled/found around the house, or at a local hardware store.
So that is the general run-down. If you have any question/comments/concerns, please let me know.
